World Congress for Neurorehabilitation – Glasgow 2028
BSPRM and WFNR to jointly host one of the biggest international congresses in BSPRM's history!
BSPRM colleagues Siva, Manoj and Cynthia attended the World Congress for Neurorehabilitation (WCNR) 2026 in Daegu, South Korea, where they presented their work and engaged with international colleagues from across the field of neurorehabilitation.
One of the highlights of the conference was BSPRM's presentation of its plans for the 15th World Congress for Neurorehabilitation (WCNR 2028), which will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from 11–14 November 2028, at the prestigious Scottish Event Campus (SEC).
The event will be a joint congress organised by the British Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (BSPRM) and the World Federation for NeuroRehabilitation (WFNR), bringing together their expertise, international networks and shared commitment to advancing neurorehabilitation.
Professor Manoj Sivan will serve as Congress President, representing BSPRM, working alongside Professor Nam-Jong Paik, the incoming President of WFNR, and international colleagues to deliver a successful congress.
The event also represents a significant milestone for WFNR, a UK-based charity founded in 1996 by Professor Mike Barnes and colleagues. Glasgow 2028 will mark the first return of the World Congress to the UK since the Federation's establishment, making the occasion particularly special.
This will be one of the largest international congresses ever hosted by BSPRM. We encourage all BSPRM members to get involved! Whether through contributing to the scientific programme, submitting research, supporting conference organisation, promoting the event through professional networks or encouraging multidisciplinary colleagues to attend, every contribution will help make Glasgow 2028 a memorable and successful global event.
