The Great North Neuropsychiatry Conference 2026

Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust (CNTW) will host The Great North Neuropsychiatry Conference 2026 on Thursday 5 November 2026 at The Grand Hotel, Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.

This year’s conference will also mark a significant milestone, with a special celebration of the British Neuropsychiatry Association’s 40th anniversary.

The programme will explore the interfaces between neurology, neuropsychiatry and different areas of psychiatric practice. Sessions will cover the conceptual overlap between neurology and psychiatry, stroke mimics, functional cognitive disorders and their management, and a series of clinical case discussions led by members of the CNTW neuropsychiatry team.

The conference will conclude with a keynote presentation from Professor Michael Nitsche on Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in Psychiatry.

Registration, coffee and networking will begin at 9.00am, with the conference closing at 4.45pm. A fee applies to attend.
