Dr Rohit Bhide

Dr Rohit Bhide is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine and Spinal Injuries with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) NHS Foundation Trust and an honorary Senior Lecturer with the University of Sheffield. He is the clinical lead for the Regional Amputee and Prosthetic services at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals. He also provides substantial medical and surgical cover for the supra-regional specialist spinal cord injuries centre in Sheffield. 

He is an active member of the BSPRM 'Research and Standards Committee' and the BSPRM 'Education Committee'.

Dr Bhide trained in three countries (India, Canada and the UK) across three continents and his areas of interest include Musculoskeletal medicine and Spinal Cord Medicine. His research interests revolve around improving functional abilities in amputee and SCI populations via non-pharmacological interventions. 

He is actively involved in Medical Education and supervises students across a wide spectrum of specialities (Medical students, Foundation trainees, PRM & SEM trainees, MSc Clinical Neurosciences, PhD students).
